A STANDARD TRANSLATION PAGE SHOULD CONTAIN 1800 CHARACTERS

Consider this whenever you compare our offerings with those proposed by other translation offices. Some of them offer the same or even lower prices, but they calculate their prices for 1700, 1600 or only 1400 characters per page. Thus, completely unknowingly, you have to pay them a higher price for fewer characters.
The page size of 1800 characters was common in Poland when translators were still using typing machines for their work. It was agreed then that each page would be composed of 30 lines of 60 characters each. Although we are now using computers, we do not find it necessary to reduce this page size. After the computer has calculated the total number of characters in the entire translation, we divide it by 1800 to arrive at the actual number of standard pages, as if each page were made up of 30 lines of 60 characters each. This calculating method has three advantages:

  • It is fair, because you pay for the actual number of translated pages, but not for blank spaces, additional space characters, etc.,
  • It allows unrestricted typesetting including all graphic items,
  • It reflects the translator's actual effort made to render the translation: this approach enables to calculate the translator's effort with an accuracy of up to one letter.
